One of the major stress points for any one that produces an event, tradeshow or even a birthday party is when will people register and how many will show. This is my life for the next 7 days, but secretly am excited to see what happens. We have over 700 people registered right now and will get over 2,000 when we are finished. The list of attendees is really the who's who of the technology and business community. It is like homecoming week for many that have switched positions and the networking action is amazing to watch. Business card swapping, people writing names and numbers on back of pieces of paper, etc.

I will continue to watch the registration numbers and wake up tomorrow morning wondering why these crazy technology people are up at 1am registering for the event. This year registrtaions are coming in from several different states. In fact, we now have 4 people from Texas registered to attend. One gentleman is coming from Texas for the CIO Summit and a journalist is attending for the open source presentations. More info to follow soon.
