InnoTech Returns (for the 6th year!) April 22-23, 2009
Is it REALLY that time again?! Even though I've been working on it since the conclusion of last year's event, the InnoTech Oregon event still manages to creep up on me every year.
This Tuesday, March 17th, is the InnoTech Marketing & Development Breakfast which is always a really exciting morning for me. (Yeah, it's St. Patrick's Day too but it's too early to start serving green beer.) This Tuesday, 6 weeks prior to the event, I get to meet, network and share ideas for event success with our exhibitors, sponsors, partners as well as those who are still deciding if they will participate. This pre-event "event" never fails to spark lots of creativity and enthusiasm...and I always look forward to it.
The breakfast also marks the time where InnoTech's marketing really kicks into high gear. (Let's face it, no matter how much I WISH everyone registered months in advance, experience tells me that the Mon, Tue and Wed prior to the event are our biggest registration days.) So, now is the time to spread the word about the amazing conference content, national caliber speakers and excellent exhibits happening at InnoTech Oregon this year.
For example, we have secured Keynote Presenter Rahaf Harfoush, New Media Strategist, Member of Obama's Social Media Team, & Associate Director of the Global Cooperation Initiative at the World Economic Forum, to present on Thursday, April 23, 2009. We have Scott S. Ballantyne, former VP General Manager, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett Packard kicking off this year's eMarketing Summit @ InnoTech and we have a Windows 7.0 Sneak Peek session at InnoTech as well.
There's so much great stuff happening this year that I am vowing NOW to be more diligent (than I have been) about blogging about the event as it draws nearer. I do Twitter about InnoTech frequently so if you'd like to follow me there I'm listed as slowery.
More later this week...Sean
